I had my 28th week appointment today. At this appointment, I did the 1 hour glucose test to check for gestational diabetes. I passed with flying colors. The baby is healthy and growing. It has a strong heartbeat and is moving around all the time. It was hard for the nurse practitioner to find the heartbeat at frist becuase the baby was moving so much.
I have moved into 3rd trimester with a bang. My belly now looks like I have a large basketball in it. I now know how hard it is for my patients to do activities of daily living. I have to hold my breath if I want to tie my shoes or put my socks on. I also need a little more umph to get up off the couch or off from the floor.
